Our new documentary UKIYO-E HEROES will world premiere at Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival, on May 2 for Audience Award consideration.

STORY: A journey of discovery into how a Canadian craftsman and an American designer with a father and son generation gap who collaborate to revive the ancient Japanese woodcut (Ukiyo-e) using pop-culture icons: Super Mario and Pokémon.

We’ve just completed a TV documentary: “KISS vs. MCZ” An entertaining documentary about two different cultures meet through the power of music: the legendary rock band KISS vs. the Japanese mega-star girls band Momoiro Clover Z (MCZ).

TORU TOKIKAWA

President CEO

Born in Japan and raised in the US and Indonesia. As a multi-award winning director and producer, Toru was based in London and Paris for 15 years prior to relocating to LA. While here, he’s been directing music videos, commercials and producing film and TV for over 18 years. A graduate of the University of Tokyo (majoring in management) Toru began his career at top Japanese advertising agency Dentsu. He then became a creative director/photographer in the music and fashion industry. Toru is currently: expanding his hit DJ show TELL ME ABOUT (with 2 million views on NHK) to the global market, developing a documentary featuring the legendary rock band KISS, and writing a number of screenplays. His thriller, SINGLE SHOT is in preproduction. Toru is a member of SACEM (Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique.). Toru speaks English, Japanese and French.

MIN HYE KIM

Creative Director CCO

Min Hye is the Chief Creative Officer and Creative Director at Rivertime Entertainment Inc. She is in charge of both film and TV development including that of CLONE HUNTER, as well as an edgy kids show, MOMMY & ME.

QUINN SOSNA-SPEAR

Development

Quarter Finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, Quinn is also a reader for UTA and Voyage Media. She has previously served as development staff at ImageMovers (Robert Zemeckis) and Captivate Entertainment (Jason Bourne franchise).

BRANDY MARKOVICH

Post Production

An experienced Editor, Brandy blends technical expertise with creative storytelling. Starting her career at CAA as a creative reader, she also cuts trailers for Hollywood studios at the industry’s top trailer house, mOcean.

YU-FAI SUEN

Advisor

Chief Operating Officer of Elton John’s Rocket Pictures, Yu-Fai is a Senior Film Executive with over 20 years of experience in UK and international film sales and distribution. Before joining the team at Rocket Pictures, Yu-Fai was COO of Aramid Capital Partners, Senior Vice-President Operations, Europe at Momentum Pictures and before this worked at Polygram and MGM. His expertise spans financial (Finance Director roles), legal (Head of Business Affairs), sales (TV and New Media), acquisitions and operational roles. A music lover, Yu-Fai started in the business owning a record shop in London.

ALEXANDRE ESCOLIER

Advisor

Founder of Atal Music and a veteran of the music industry, Alexandre started his career in Manchester UK in 1986 at Factory Communications (Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays…) that ran the legendary Hacienda Club. After living in NYC working for a French/American label Celluloid Records, he started managing Distance Records in Paris that became one of the world top House Music labels. Alexandre then founded Atal Music, a label and music publishing company, working with global star artists and producers - David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Louie Vega/Masters At Work, Herbie Hancock, Jennifer Lopez, etc. Alexandre holds a MBA from the Lubin Business School / Pace University, New York.
